Vegetarian nights have been extended!

On Monday the 20th we will host Hatted Chef Ryan Flaherty (ex El Bulli, Fat Duck) from The Estelle for a five course vegetarian degustation.

Seats limited to 60, for a menu please click here.

$60 food only, with matched wine $35.

On Monday the 27th we will host Florent Gerardin from 3 Hatted Vue de Monde. It will be the same format, a five course degustation with the option to match wine.

5% of all food takings will be donated to SWAGS for homeless in Melbourne.

Heating Up: New Enclosed Roof Top Terrace!

The Aylesbury is excited to announce that we are creating a fully enclosed roof top terrace. Come enjoy the warmth this winter, while still enjoying the Aylesbury’s beautiful roof top views of the city. Our new sanctuary will be finished by the first week in May. Upstairs is also unveiling a new cocktail and wine list to combat the cold. Enjoy some warm drinks in our new toasty surroundings. We hope to see you soon!

If you are struggling with your fulltime work while the summer sun is still shining brightly outside, fear not! The Aylesbury Restaurant & Rooftop have the prefect compromise with their new Rooftop lunchtime menu, created especially for CBD workers.

Lovers of seasonal produce can sample the new Spanish inspired menu at the Rooftop Bar whilst stocking up on their vitamin D. Head Chef, Seth James and owner Jesse Gerner have created a budget friendly lunchtime menu including: Bocadillos filled with braised beef cheek, Oloroso and pepper or crispy calamari with alioli and gem lettuce ($10); chicken ensalada with tarragon, anchovies and egg ($10); and pan seared dory grilled leeks with harissa and fennel pea salad ($18). No bookings taken. See you up there!!!

The Rooftop is now open from 3.00pm every Sunday during the summer for shared Spanish Paellas!
Paellas are $34 for two to share.
Come and relax while overlooking the city and listening to laid back beats and enjoy a tasty beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail or two.

The Northcote garden

Our garden started to take shape on a cold wintery day. The house and garden were owned by an Italian family for 2 generations and the soil in the vegetable patch is amazing.

We dug in the nettles and weeds, prepared the soil and then got to work planting.

Matt and Vanessa from Rooftop honey are checking on our little bees on our garage roof. They are quick producers and happily keep to themselves. We are currently using the honey on a zucchini flower dish.
